Well, after I wrote my update from camp everyone was still asleep. Mike came busting down our door to wake us up. I didn't know what time we had to be at chapel, plus some of the counselors and campers saran wrapped his bed, because it was his 40th birthday, while the guys were in the pool. We headed up to the chapel, had a message and had hot dogs for supper. After, we had a Fear Factor challenge. We had to choose 4 people from our team and they had to go around a blow-up pool to find golf balls. It was pull of mud and crud from the pond. There was 1 golden golf ball and it was worth 10 points. So basically, whoever got it, won. The blue team found it. The red team found 6 golf balls. We only found 2. Afterward, everyone who played went and washed off because they were muddy. You'll see in the pictures Christene's arms afterward. We hung out for a little while after. Then, it was time for our next Fear Factor challenge; a hot dog eating contest. Grayson and Eston went up for our team and then they added one counselor and we got Eric. They had about 15 minutes to eat 45 (or as much as they could). Well, we ended up winning! Yay! We hung out after. Haley and I went inside and did bible verses for a while. Kirsten taught a message again for just the girls on how to obey your parents. We went back inside after. We danced again for a little bit. At about 12:20, lights went out and most of us went to sleep early. I went to sleep about 2. Robin and Kristi told us that if we didn't stay up so late that night that Tuesday night, since it was our last night, we could stay up late. We woke up again at 8 and got ready and headed up to the kitchen. Chapel came after that. Eric talked about O in H.O.T. which was obedience. Christene, Tiffany, Jason, and I were on a team to melt a block of ice against 4 other people. We were winning the whole time, but the other team ended up dropping theirs, so it melted faster and we lost. It was raining, so we all headed to the gym. We played a basketball game, where your team got in a line and the first person passed it under there legs until it got to the end. The last person would then have to run and shoot the ball until they made it. We played 3 rounds and the red team won one, the blue team won one, and we won the other. We played a game next where someone got in the middle and had a dodge ball. They threw it up in the air and counted to 5 and yelled stop. You could run around for those 5 seconds, but when that person yelled stop you had to stop where you were. You couldn't move your feet and the person had to throw the ball where it landed and get people out. We didn't get to fully finish it, but Haley and I were one of the last people standing. Then, the blue team and our team went down to the volleyball court because it had stopped raining. We won both games we played. We went back to the gym and played a game where you had to go around bowling pins and go under chairs at 2 different times. Our team had big people, so we had a disadvantage and didn't win either game. We played leap frog after that. We were winning the 2nd round, but Mylum's knee popped out of place and we had to substitute him for Daniel in the middle of the game. The other team got an edge and ended up winning. After, we went to chapel and had a message and ate in the kitchen. The boys had pool first that day, so Haley and I went paddle boating for a while. We went to the pool after and I didn't do my flips. I would have, but Katie wasn't there to push me like she normally does. We stayed at the pool for a while. We did do leaps off the diving board Monday, so those I did get to do. After, I didn't have time to take a shower and we had to go to the chapel. On the way to the kitchen after, Katie's nail scratched my arm on accident and took a chunk of skin off. I had to go get a band aid and spray for it. We ate after and we had hamburgers. I've never eaten a hamburger in my life, so I only ate watermelon and cantaloupe. Then, we had our real Fear Factor. Ken buys all these weird foods from around the world and we eat it. Well, I don't. I've never eaten anything weird. Next year, I keep telling myself, I'll actually do it no matter how bad it is. Haley and Christene did it together 3 times. They ate bamboo worms, smoked oysters, and calamari with squid and snails and other animals mixed together. It was quiet gross and you can tell by their faces in the pictures. We had a talent show after. I didn't sing anything this year, but it was more fun this year. It was as boring as last year. We all got up and danced this time, too. Katie, Christene, and I were going to sing something, but everyone else wanted to, too, and we ran out of time. We hung out after and Kirsten taught another message. This time it was on dating, marriage, and sex. It was a really good message. We worked on bible verses and danced some more later. We were stomping during the Chacha Slide and the people in the cabin next to us came over to see what was going on. We stayed up until almost 1:30 dancing and I showed them my jazz dance from my summer class this year. Lights out was about 1:30 and Haley and I stayed up until 3. We made the best of our last night. Everyone else went to sleep when they laid down. Wednesday, we still had all day to hang out because we weren't leaving until 5 in the afternoon. We woke up and got ready to go eat. We went to play wiffle ball and kickball again. This time we started at kickball against Katie's team. We ended up tying with 10. We went to try to break the tie at wiffle ball, but we ended up tying with 9 on that, too. I think the winning team will be either theirs or ours. I'll find out tomorrow at church. We went back to the chapel and ate after. The girls had pool first, but no one in our cabin went. We packed up some. We went to the cave, too. Brandon took us and then decided it would be funny to lock us in. He unlocked it, though, when one of the girls started freaking out. Haley and I paddle boated again. We finished packing after. We went to chapel for one last time and had a message. It started pouring down rain while we were there and some people's luggage was in the back of trucks and on picnic tables. They had to go out in the middle and put everything in the game room (the old kitchen). The stuff in the game room was downstairs last year, but with the new kitchen, they brought everything upstairs. After, we all went and found our luggage and loaded it in the car. Angie brought Haley, Katie, Grayson, and I home. We dropped Grayson and Haley off before me. I got home and my dad was here. I told him some of the things that happened. Mom came home and I talked and talked and talked about everything that happened. I just hung out at home and relaxed when I got done. I went to bed at 12 and slept until 1:30 Thursday afternoon. I've gotten back on a normal sleeping schedule, but I haven't done anything in the past 3 days. I haven't even got out of my pajamas except to take a shower last night. Tomorrow, I'll go to church which is the closing for camp. I love camp and I can't wait until next year. Year #5. Man, it feels just like yesterday I was getting saved my first day of camp for my first year of camp. Time does fly back. I hope even when I'm in college, I'll come back every year and be a counselor for kids like me. I enjoy it a lot. Maybe next year, I'll help with the younger kids like I was planning on this year with Katie. But Katie decided to come home, so I did too. Well, I'm just hanging out, so there's not much to talk about. I'll update with the pictures and then be on my way.
Love always,
Allison
