June 29, 30

Hello again. I know I didn't post last night, but I have a good reason. GYMNASTICS, of course! Haha! Yesterday, I had one of my lazy summer days. I did actually get dressed yesterday!(; I thought my best friend, Haley, was coming over to watch gymnastics with me, but she had to go to her dad's. I worked on some vocals (karaoke with me at home by myself, lol!) I mostly laid around my house, though. At 8, I watched Olympic Trials for swimming. I like swimming, but the real good stuff came on at 9. I LOVE gymnastics (just saying)! Of course, my top 3 came in the order I thought; Jordyn, Gabby, Aly. I think they'll definitely be on the Olympic Team. Personally, my team would be; Jordyn, Aly, Gabby, McKayla, and Alicia. I know that's not possible, though. I'm pretty sure the first 4 are on the team, depending on how McKayla does tomorrow. I watched gymnastics and I made my mom mad. I talk a lot when gymnastics is on and I need someone to talk to. My mom was the only one home, and since she thinks she has bronchitis, it was not her night. She watches it, but she's not obsessed like I am. Thankfully, Haley should be back tomorrow so, I won't have to talk my mom's head off again. At one time, Aly had just finished her bar routine and I said, "That was a good routine for Aly." Tim, one of the announcers, said just 2 seconds later, "That was a good routine for Aly." Mom was like, well, I already knew that from my kid, LOL! Then later, she complained that she hadn't heard a word the announcers were saying the whole time it was on. So, I was like, "But mom, you said earlier I said the exact same thing as the announcer. Why would you need to hear them repeat what I say?" Let's just say, she didn't complain afterward. Gymnastics went off, and I was off to bed. This morning, I woke up, took a shower, and headed to a Fourth of July picnic. We ate hot dogs inside, and played 10 games of bingo. Mom won one and got $5. But she gave it all back when we played the winner take all round, where you had to pay and fill up your whole card. I needed 2, 2, and 3 on my cards. It was horrible. Afterward, I came home and I had a little time to relax. At 4, Katie came and picked me up to take my to Robin, her god mom's, church for movie night. We got there really early, so we just hung out for about an hour. We ate more hot dogs (it's a good thing hot dogs are my favorite foods) and went into the movie. 20 minutes into it, we decided to go to the bathroom and we didn't go back in the movie. It wasn't boring, it was just for younger kids. Katie, Christene, Tiffany, and I sat outside the bathroom and talked for the rest of the movie. At 9, my mom came and picked us up and we went home. Now, I'm just home, hanging out. I'm about to head off to bed, so I'll leave you with some pictures from tonight.
P.S.- I won't be posting tomorrow either, as gymnastics is on again.

Me, Katie, Christene, and John- We don't all fit in the picture, lol
I'm the only one of my friends that drinks Dr. Pepper. ):
Flower on our table at church.
Me and my addiction, soft drinks. LOL

Love always,
Allison

Welcome!

Welcome to my new blog. Here's a little into to let you to know me better.

My name's Allison and I'm 15 years old. I used to play basketball and softball, but I've given both up to focus on my true love; dance. I take 4 classes at this time (hopefully, 5 next year!). I've taken ballet for 10 years, tap for 8 years, jazz for 7 years, and modern 3 years. I hope to soon begin lyrical, as my studio has just added the class this year. My studio also has a competition team, but I do not compete on it. I wish I did, but my mom won't let me, as it's quite expensive. I also would like to do gymnastics, so that's still in the talks right now. I know I won't be able to take 5 dance classes and gymnastics, so I'll have to see what happens when the time comes. At dance, I also assist with the younger kids in a few classes. Last year I had 3 classes, but both the years before that, I only had 1. Now that I'm older, I have more. I love to dance. I have A LOT of friends. Some of my best friends are Katie, Haley, Christene, Megan, and Matthew. I will be going into the 10th grade (SOPHOMORE baby!) this year. I will begin the following classes in the fall; World History 2, Drama 2, Spanish 2, and English 10-H. For the second semester I will have; Adv. Alg/Trig, Adv. Biology 1, Economics and Personal Finance, and P.E./Driver's Ed. Here's a few simple things about me; I have 2 half-siblings. My brother's name is Brian and my sister's name is Christy. Brian is recently divorced. He has my beautiful, 4 year old niece, Katie. She lights up my world and she's doing my favorite two sports; dance and gymnastics. She makes me laugh every time I see her. I have great parents and I'm the spoiled baby girl.(; My brother and sister were grown when I was born, so I've always been the only kid in the house. I have two little cousins named Caleb and Chase. They make my world go round. Caleb is 5 years old and is growing like a weed. He's almost as tall as me. (I'm pretty short at 4'11, and I will never get any taller from the look of my xrays two years ago.) I've watched him grow up and he makes me feel old, because I remember when he was just a baby. Chase is 18 months old and such a sweetheart. He has the sweetest little smile you've ever seen. His only downfall; he doesn't sleep. When I keep him over night, we're up most of the night. He doesn't sleep at night, he doesn't sleep in the day, he doesn't sleep. But he's still a joy to be around. I have a lot of family from Oklahoma/Texas, because my grandma is originally from there. Here's a few of my favorites; food- hot dogs, candy- M&Ms (at the moment), tv shows- Pretty Little Liars, Criminal Minds, Make It or Break It, both Dance Moms, gymnast: retired- Shawn Johnson, competing- Alicia Sacramone, all-arounder- Aly Raisman, favorite sport: to participate in- dance, to watch- gymnastics, movies- The Last Song, The Hunger Games, Stick It, books- Winning Balance by Shawn Johnson, The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks, The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins, subject- math (nerd, I know. lol), activities- stretching, practicing turns for dance, hanging out with friends, listening to music, scrap booking, music- anything (and I do mean anything and everything). In my spare time, I follow children with cancer. I hope to one day become a pediatric oncologist and specialize in rhabdomyosarcoma in memory of the little girl that touched my life the most, Ellie Potvin. She went to heaven 2 years ago at the age of 8 from stage 4 rhabdomyosarcoma. She is my hero and, even though I never met her, I miss and love her like crazy. I follow many children that are still fighting or have passed away. My main children are; Ellie(deceased from stage 4 rhabdomyosarcoma), Layla(deceased from stage 4 neuroblastoma), Kate(remission for relapsed brain cancer), Ethan(deceased from stage 4 rhabdomyosarcoma), Braden(remission for relapsed stage 4 neuroblastoma), Kylie(fighting brain cancer), Calie(remission for leukemia), Taylor(remission for stage 4 neuroblastoma and leukemia), Daisy(fighting 3rd relapse of Wilms tumor), and McKenna(remission for stage 4 neuroblastoma). I have also lost a dear friend in a car accident almost 3 years ago. That was probably the hardest part of my life. My best friend, Christene, was in the car with him and almost did not survive. I cherish every day I have with her, knowing she might not have been here. My best friend, Katie, also lost her sweet nephew almost 2 years ago. He was born almost 4 months premature and fought for almost 9 months for his life. He touched me in so much, even though we never met until his funeral/visitation. Well, I think you know me pretty well. Thanks for reading. And I hope you enjoy what you've read and what you'll read from now on.

Love always,
Allison
